Atlantic rays are 2 metres across the wingspan. They are happy to interact with the divers so a close encounter is not uncommon.
Palmmar is a wall dive with lots to see, in particular moray eels, this fiesty leopard moray enjoyed getting its photo taken. Dive site 22 - 35 metres.
Found on many of our dive sites is the octopus, this one is dragging a piece of fish offal back to its house.
Not always common but on the site Maravilla they can be spotted, we usually have the black and yellow variety and occasionally the black and white.
A good look under the rocks on our volcanic reefs usually brings something exciting, here is a vibrant pink anenome and an arrow crab.
El Condesito was a cement carrying freighter, lies in 9 - 17 metres, it is very close to the shore and takes a pounding therefore it is now unsafe for penetration but still teeming with fishlife, always lots of trumpetfish under the stern.
This wreck lies between 39 - 55 metres, as you can see the visibility is usually 30-40 metres. Always lots of roncadores or more commonly known as grunts, the occasional ray and grouper.
Roncadores Del Faro or more commonly known as the Stepps dive site, these barracuda are usually found in the shallow waters where there are an abundance of young fish.
We normally see angelsharks from around November to May when the sea starts to cool down. They are found hidden in the sand either sleeping or waiting for some unsuspecting prey.
