Punta Sur is home to the famous "Devil's Throat" which starts at the opening of a dark narrow tunnel at 28 meter and takes you out into a sunlight opening at 40 meter on the wall. Eagle rays and sharks are occasionally spotted here. Other spots include the cathedral, which is a large cave opening with giant sponges that form a cross in the ceiling of the cave where light passes through. Bring a dive light for this advanced dive site.

Yucab Reef is a series of low profile, dense groups of coral structures that are separated by sand valleys. This reef is populated by groupers, moray eels and barracudas with depths to 18 meter and swift currents. You will find a variety of corals and sponges in a sand bottom, with an abundant marine life that includes morays, grouper, lobsters and crabs. It is excellent for night diving and since there is fire coral, pay attention not to touch anything.

Many large coral pinnacles covered with brain and whip corals. Eels, angelfish, groupers, grunts and snapper are common as well as smaller reef fish.

Mexico > Paraiso, Paradise Reef > Paraiso is a large reef system > [View]

Paraiso is a large reef system in three sections: with scattered coral at 5 meter, 13 meter and at 18 meter. At 18 meter deep abundant coral and sponges can be found in the reefs before they slope down into the abyss. This dive site is so extensive that several dives are necessary to cover the whole system.
